A unique small town with great beaches and a revitalized downtown
Lake Worth Beach is a haven for golfers and artists alike, offering great beaches, a fishing pier, historic buildings, and a revitalized downtown with an eclectic mix of antique stores, specialty shops, restaurants, art galleries, and more.
Streets here are dotted with palm trees, and quaint bed-and-breakfasts are sporadically tucked away. There’s even a historic playhouse that hosts everything from ballet to Broadway. Colorful events are hosted regularly. The Lake Worth Beach Street Painting Festival turns the asphalt into a canvas. Palm Beach Pride, one of the biggest LGBTQ+ celebrations in the region, is hosted each June.
This seven-square-mile city is wedged between some of the area’s most action-packed waterways. Just across Lake Worth Lagoon — a boater’s playground that stretches all the way to West Palm Beach — are postcard-perfect shores and restaurants on the beach that afford endless views of the Atlantic Ocean.
This laid-back beach town offers affordable housing, a waterfront golf course, a vibrant arts community, and a busy downtown. The population here is diverse and welcoming.
Dining options abound in Lake Worth Beach. Local favorites include Paradiso Restaurant, serving elegant Italian fare; Benny’s on the Beach, offering all-American items for breakfast and lunch; and Beach Club Lake Worth, a casual American eatery and bar located right on the golf course.
In Downtown Lake Worth Beach, you’ll find a colorful, artistic, and bohemian way of life. Two main streets, Lake Avenue and Lucerne Avenue, are filled with an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, art galleries, and music venues. Many locally-owned boutiques exist here as well.
The Lake Worth Playhouse offers various programming and presents daily independent and foreign films in its Stonzek Theatre.
The historic Lake Worth Casino Building and Beach Complex does not offer gambling but does feature an oceanfront park and picnic facilities. Beach chairs, lounges, and cabanas are available to rent at the beach.
